Earl Grey

The bergamot oil which gives Earl Grey its distinctive flavour comes from a small orange citrus fruit mainly grown in Italy. Our Earl Grey is made from a blend of China and Assam quality black teas permeated with an intense bergamot flavour.

Earl Grey tea is named after the 2nd Earl Grey, Charles Grey (1764-1845). He reportedly received a gift of tea flavoured with bergamot oil when he was Prime Minister.
