Pu Erh Ripened

This is a very special Pu-Erh tea that has been aged and slowly fermented in the open air ("ripened" or "Shou" Pu-Erh). It has an incomparable earthy taste and is naturally low in caffeine.

Pu-Erh is made from large tea leaves and is technically a green tea, despite its red amber colour, as great care is taken to prevent oxidisation during the picking and processing of the leaves. They are then fermented a number of times giving the ripened Pu-Erh tea its unique character.
